Was really enjoying dinner here and shared my praise with the waiter. He then said, well, unfortunately, we're closing next week. I was hungry when I dined here. Excellent bucatini and what I'd imagine was black cod. Sad to lose this restaurant, though I don't repeat restaurants.

Loved this place. We made a Resy the day on a Thursday night for a party of 2 with no issues. It was packed and there were only 2 seats at the bar so I took one and waited. The bartender, Max, was so friendly and knowledgable about the drinks and and menu. He literally gave me a complete rundown of the appetizer and dinner menus while I waited for the rest of my party and it was so helpful in determining what I choose for dinner. He also makes a great drink! I had the PearFection and it literally was perfection. So tasty and spicy just the way I like my cocktails. We sat at our table in the corner in the back and it was so cozy and intimate. The dinner floor isn't very large but they've managed to fit a good amount of tables in the small place but you still have a feeling of privacy. Now on to the food. We had the crispy calamari and spicy steak tartar. I really liked the aioli that came with the calamari. The tartar wasn't very spicy but it was tasty. For dinner, we ordered the pan roasted branzino and the mezzi rigatoni. I must have been really excited for dinner because I forgot to take pics. :) The branzino was tender and the soup was nice. The rigatoni was very al dente but tasty. A great dinner overall.

It is such a cozy ambiance inside (although I sat right by the entrance). I didn't know what to expect for food but the two entrees (sea bass and duck) we ordered were great - crispy where it needed to be, buttery, juicy. The dessert (apple crumble) didn't really hit but that's fine.

It's always hard to find reservations for a group of 5 so it was fortuitous that there were so many options at the Leroy House. It serves a New American menu. The interior was beautifully decorated with a whole wall dedicated to a flower display. I had the penicillin cocktail. The five of us split the steak tartare and the calamari, and each got our own entree. They seemed to enjoy the skate and the clams with linguine. I got the chicken which had a perfectly cooked skin. The meat itself had a texture that I wasn't as used to. I don't know how to describe it but I ended up eating it all and didn't have a stomachache later so I'm sure it was cooked to the right temperature. We shared the apple crisp and the chocolate dessert. In summary, a good option if you need a resy for a bigger group. The food was simple. But I was not wowed.

On a crisp fall Thursday night, we had a reservation for two in the dining room that looked out into their lit garden. Food: - Deviled Eggs: can't go wrong with this - Charred Spanish Octopus: perfect balance of tender meat with crispy edges and paired well with the chickpea purée - Mezzi Rigatoni: too salty - Long Island Duck Breast: duck was cooked perfectly, maitake mushrooms added the crunchy texture, and celery root purée was flavorful though it was a little too rich after a couple dips with the duck Overall, a cozy old school vibe that gets pretty loud as the tables are close together. Service was well paced and staff was patient when we asked questions. Food is on the pricier side for the portion however the quality is definitely there. It seems like the menu changes so I may be back to try something different!

This place is really special. And somehow more kept under the radar than you'd expect. First and foremost, the vibes are amazing. It's a quaint, cozy setting. The dining room is small, but perfectly so, and with a gorgeous garden view. Just a really perfectly charming dining room. The food is excellent as is the service. We started with the calamari and grilled octopus, both of which were excellent. For entrees we went with the malfadine which was one of the better pastas we've had and would put it up against some of the best pastas from the best Italian restaurants. Chicken was great too. Jorge our server was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Hats off to Lara, the friendliest, smiliest server this side of East River. May all your dreams come true, you delightful lady! In other news, the pasta here is better than many Italian restaurants. The Mafaldine Bolognese is the stuff of curly dreams, and the Fettucine with crab, sea urchin and hot peppers is just scrumptious. If you need more to round out your meal, definitely get the Seared Lamb Belly, which comes in a unique sauce that plays with your tongue. The only downer was our Blood Orange Margarita mocktail, which was too tart. Next time, mix it with simple syrup, sugar or a sweeter juice to balance it out. Ambience-wise, this is the spot to bring your first date, your married date, your best friends, your frenemy, your frat boys, and your fi bros. In other words, the decor will suit almost any occasion.
